This small garden studio has been a long time in the making, but is finally almost ready for launch!

For many years I have wanted to put together a small studio, both for my own projects and dance teaching, and to be able to hire it out to creatives for them to use in all sorts of different ways. I looked into the idea of renting a building nearby and using that, but the costs were high and I could not be confident of getting enough business through to pay the bills. So I decided not to go that route. Which turned out to be a good idea, as the madness of 2020 and "plague season" would have put an end to a project like that anyway.

Then in early 2023 I inherited my father's house in Biggin Hill, and the large garden gave me another idea. Why not build the studio there and keep everything in the same place? The costs would be low, access would be easy, and I would be on site to deal with any issues.

And that is when Hawthorn Studios started to come together. I worked out what I needed and what I could build, planned it carefully, and in early 2024 I started building.

The studio is almost ready to go now. A bit more paint and some floor polish and it will be good to go. I hope to see you there soon!
