Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
- "The Owner" refers to the owner of the studio and grounds.
- "The User" refers to any hirer or user of the studio or grounds including but not limited to direct hirers, and attendees to a hosted class or event.
- "The Studio" shall refer to the studio, grounds, and any part of the house if such has been made available.
- The term "in writing" used throughout these Terms and Conditions shall be taken to mean by physical letter, by email, or by any persistent timestamped messaging platform with sender identification such as text message, WhatsApp, Skype, etc.
2. Parking
- The User will be informed prior to arriving of the maximum number of vehicles that may be parked on the day. This must not be exceded. There is no on-road parking available near the Studio. Whilst there are marked parking bays on Single Street, these are privately owned and must not be used.
- Any User arriving with greater than the stated number of vehicles will be turned away with any hire agreement cancelled, and any deposit paid shall be forfeit.
3. Acceptable Usage
3.1. General
- The User must not do anything that will adversely affect the neighbours or cause anyone to have cause for complaint against The Studio.
- Noise shall be kept to a minimum.
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on site.
- Any litter dropped must be collected before leaving the site and either placed in the bins provided or taken with you.
3.2. The Studio
- No naked flames - e.g. candles - to be used in the studio at any time.
- Any electrical equipment brought in by the hirer must be checked for electrical safety (PAT tested) and in good condition. Any equipment without a valid PAT certification or where there is doubt about its suitability can be checked by The Owner at The Owner's discretion.
- No liquids or powders are to be spilled or deliberately applied to the floor. Any accidental spillages must be reported to The Owner immediately.
3.3. The Grounds
- Appropriate footwear must be worn whilst moving around the site.
- The gate between the lower lawn and the woods must be kept closed and secured with the provided chain loop at all times except when going through it.
4. Liability
- The grounds are kept as natural and unmanaged as possible and as a result present all the usual risks and hazards associated with a wild environment, including but not limited to trip hazards, slippery surfaces, interaction with flora and fauna, and allergens. The User shall accept all liability for any personal injury or damage to property that may result from using the grounds.
